I fell out of the shower last week, which nobody believes, but I decided to document the massive bruise I got as a result. It freaked out a lot of people I work with. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gross. Work is actually a lot of fun right now. I'm on this project with a university and they're good peoples. Adventures kick off sooner than I realise. France! America! Brussels! Italy! Germany! I'm ready for fun. I spent my bank holiday weekend not commuting to frikken London. Dear M4 & Hammersmith Flyover, sort your lives out. Waiting for my mum to get home so we can eat and continue our Lord of the Rings marathon. ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY WALK INTO MORDOR, PUNK. Also I've been listening to a lot of Fanfare Ciocarlia. You should too.

I don't mind some dubstep now and again you know. But I also like this too: It's been a busy two weeks. As usual, travelling around London to meetings for work. ![]() Making colleagues smile ![]() ![]() Went to Glasgow on a business trip twice. Here's me at the local historic landmarks I had time to visit: ![]() ![]() Yep. I had a good hair day ![]() I discovered this statue I see everyday on my commute ![]() is called The Leaning Woman by Karen Vogel. Shadow is still the victim of camera assault ![]() St. Pancras station is still amazing to see first thing in the morning. ![]() I'm looking forward to going away soon. I haven't been anywhere in a while and I'm quite desperate now. Work never stops or sleeps or makes sense all the time. Today went by so quickly and all of a sudden I'll be in Manchester tomorrow, trying to catch up with a million things on the train journeys there and back. I'm happy it's spring. I love his kind of weather as it's warm enough for t-shirts but not hot enough for heat rash. Which, if you've never had, is the worst thing ever because it means everyone can play outside except you. Things I am grateful for this week: knowing some incredibly charming and sweet people who put a smile on my face (though they probably don't even know it), having the best team at work in the world, my parents listening to me talk endlessly about everything that ever happens to me, Topshop.

Like a Boss It was officially announced in the office that I'm moving from one team to another. It's a sort of promotion I guess. Something new. I get to meet regularly with clients. My current team want to take me out for leaving drinks anyway, haha. I'll miss being with them all the time but my new team are pretty fantastic as well. They like my drunk tyrannosaurus rex impression the best (it's how I illustrate what I look like when I go jogging). ![]() Oh my godddd 16 days until this comes out. I've waited years. YEARS. ![]() ![]() Gel eye liner completes me. ![]() I BLOODY LOVE BYRON BURGERS. Jokes aside, that wasn't all for me, sadly. ![]() I stayed with Yasmin this week. I made dinner, she made the bed. Life partnersss. Shtoy eta? Eta ADRIEN BRODY~~ (based on a true story) ![]() Shadow is full of enthusiasm. I need this show on DVD probably. ![]() Mum bought me a Longchamp travel bag <3 That's about it really.Text me some time, yeah?

![]() This week I've mostly been listening to Tom Waits and the Rolling Stones. I've been making note of the sleeping patterns of a homeless man in Kensington. I tried to start a rumour in the office one of my friends was going in for leg extension surgery. I went on a bloody pointless trip to Zone 5 from Zone 1 but am now familiar with the circular bus routes of Harrow. I'm seeing Yasmin and Nick again next week and this makes me happy. My mum bought me bareMinerals make up today and we spent a long time looking at Cath Kidston things <3 Future blogs which have an actual topic and not just rambling for you to look forward to: - Why Jersey Shore Isn't So Bad - Stupid Things my Clients Say to Me - I Love My New iPhone - Where in the World is Nadia? (some exciting destinations coming soon!!) Also this song reminds me of travelling past the Californian coast on a train.

What a week! What a fortnight, actually. The world's been turned upside down. Some DeVotchka first I think. Listen, it's good. So what's new? I still work in London, this much is the same. And you've never seen anything quite so lovely as St. Pancras station in the morning from the roof of my office. ![]() But, well, I moved back to Berkshire for the time being - to wait for Yasmin and Nick to save some money and we'll get that wonderful home north of the river I've been dreaming of for some time now. Until then, I get a coach to work. 2 hours there, 2 hours back. ![]() It isn't all bad. I see Ascot racecourse and Windsor castle. I alight at Kensington High Street and walk up to Knightsbridge to get the tube. It's nice to see Harrods and Harvey Nics in the morning. I went out with Yasmin. Last weekend, to celebrate her birthday. It was the most fun. ![]() Nick and I have also seen each other. Here he is feeling sleeping after a lot of cheesy pizza and wine. ![]() Everything is all about this coat: ![]() Moisturising my face every half an hour to try and stop the cold destroying me: ![]() And trying to find the time to buy more perfume: ![]() Can you believe it's Monday tomorrow? I want another weekend. This one was pretty good. I'm still smiling, by the way.

This is an essay I'm extremely proud of. Stenson's Svoboda wasn't on the syllabus for my Trans-National Literature class at uni but I wanted to explore my Russian heritage so much I arranged to do so with my lecturer. She was only too happy to let me deviate from the course content as she found the novel and my family history fit perfectly with the theme of the class. This was a very rewarding project.
